10:00 am – 3:00 pm

This tour is available with minimum 2 participants.

A delicious walk on two shores of Istanbul – Europe and Asia.

Our tour is completely vegetarian friendly, and throughout the 5 hour route you will have your fill of some of the most traditional (and vegetarian!) Istanbul specialties as well as some local İstanbul neighborhood-only flavors.

We will first meet at the Spice Bazaar for Spice Tasting. This extensive market was built in the 17th century to finance the upkeep of the nearby mosque, Yeni Cami. The bazaar is often referred to as the “Egyptian Market” due to the fact that spices used to come to the market from India and Southeast Asia via Egypt. There is plenty to discover for the “foodie.”

Then walk over the Galata Bridge to Istanbul’s coolest hip neighbourhood Karaköy. Karaköy today is a dynamic neighborhood to say the least. What used to be the main port of the Ottoman Empire and a site for local hardware stores is transforming slowly but surely into a hub of food, culture, and shopping.

Now, hardware stores rub shoulders with galleries, restaurants and boutiques, creating a dynamic blend of urban grit and glitter.

After savoring very fresh Baklava ,we will continue to discover the streets of Karaköy stopping for tastings along the way.

We will then take a ferry ride to the other side of the river that separates the European and Asian parts of Istanbul to explore the famous open-air street market of Kadıkoy.

For lunch we will stop at various spots and taste an array of vegetarian dishes.

After lunch we will savor Turkish Coffee and walk back take our ferry back to the European side.
