Day 1 Meet at the Airport ( Nevşehir or Kayseri ) and transfer to the hotel
Day 2
After breakfast meet with your guide & driver. The tour starts with a descent towards the centre of the earth, with a trip to the underground city of Kaymakli; one of the largest and deepest of Cappadocia’s many such settlements. From here you will have a chance to meet a local family and at the same time get to know a little bit more about Turkish cuisine.
You will continue to the village house where country women teach us how to prepare three most popular dishes in Cappadocia and Anatolia. They will show us how to make gozleme (cooked thin sheets of dough with cheese ), yaprak sarma (stuffed vine leaves) and manti (meat pastry). Then you will have lunch with the hosts and their families.
After lunch we pause at Avanos, a centre of terracotta art since 3,000 BC, for a demonstration in a traditional pottery workshop. Then you will visit the famous Goreme Open Air Museum to see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia. These are found in rock-cut churches with frescoes and paintings dating from as early as the 10th century.
We complete the tour in Red Valley for sunset.Back to the hotel.
Day 3
Optional balloon ride
Tea, coffee and some snacks will be served to the guests early in the morning.
Rising with a balloon and floating above the sites is an unforgettable experience. There is nothing quite like it; you get up before dawn, climb into an all-terrain vehicle and set out for the launch site. As the sky lightens, you watch the beautiful Cappadocia awakening. Enjoy lifting off into the morning air to float across the Cappadocia landscape just as the warming sun makes its way above the horizon. After landing, a glass of sparkling champagne will be served and flight certificates will be given to each participant. Pick up time is at 04:30 aprox from the hotel and return at around 07:30-07:45.
Then transfer to the Airport for your flight to Istanbul at 15:00 from Nevşehir or Kayseri Airport.
